SURFEB LAUNCH PARTY FT. WINSTON SURFSHIRT

We kicked off SurFebruary with an annual paddle out in our local ocean, mighty Freshie Beach. From little groms to big, the arvo was spent with sunshine, good mates and high spirits. After getting salty, the party moved to Harbord, where we dried off on the dance floor. We had local DJ’s spinning beats till late, followed by a DJ set by the one and only Winston Surfshirt. These Northern Beaches locals have had multi-platinum singles, sold-out tours across Australia and Europe, packed sets at major festivals… and Sir Elton John is a big FAN! Winston was a swell ending to an amazing arvo.

SURFEBRUARY
SurFebruary supports ground-breaking projects taking leaps to make real change in the cancer space. The goal is to hit the water and get salty every day (rain, hail or shine) in February to raise funds for cancer research at Chris O’brien Lifehouse. Over the past 5 years the SurFebruary community has raised over $1.1 million for innovative cancer research and treatment. It may seem simple, but getting in the water everyday improves the lives of those diagnosed with cancer. Never underestimate the power of a community.
Hosting the launch party for such an amazing cause was an honour. The event saw the community of Freshwater come together and kick-off the month ahead in style. If you didn’t get a chance to get onboard, support our Harbord Hotel SurFeb team below. It only takes a minute to donate and anything you can give (no matter how big or small) will go a long way to helping us reach our target, and help improve the lives of those affected by cancer.
